Are You Backing Up Your Wordpress Website?

You may well have heard all the buzz online about the attacks on WordPress security. Unfortunately this is no joke, and it needs to be taken very seriously, or all you've built could be hijacked or worse, lost to you.

Cloning, as it applies to fix malware problems free, is the act of creating an exact replica of your WordPress install. What is good is that in only a couple clicks, you can do it with the right software. There are a number of reasons why you may want to do this. Here are just a few.

The approach, and the one I recommend, is to use one of the password creation and storage plugins available for your browser. RoboForm is liked by people, but I think after a free trial period, you have to pay for it. I use the free version of Lastpass, and I recommend it for those of you who use Internet Explorer or Firefox. That will generate secure passwords for you; you use one master password to log in.

Recently, an unknown hacker hacked the blog of Reuters and published a news article that was fake. Due to what the hacker did since Reuters is a news website, their reputation is here are the findings already ruined. The same thing may happen to you if you don't pay attention.

Can you view that folder what if you go to WP-Content/plugins? If so, upload this blank Index.html file into that folder as well so people can't see what plugins you might have. Because if your existing version of WordPress is up to date, if you're using an old plugin or a plugin with a security hole, someone can use this to get access.

Change your password, or at least admin username and your WordPress password and collect and utilize good WordPress safety tips to keep hackers out!
